Our Business Area Credit Risk Management is looking for a Credit Officer (m/f/d) in London.

Responsibilities

  • Implementation of the Bank’s Credit Risk Policy and management of client relationship for a portfolio of facilities.
     
  • Ongoing management of an existing allocated portfolio of credit facilities, partially structured transactions and sole responsibility within given credit authorities.
     
  • Ongoing risk monitoring and risk management applying the bank’s analysis and steering tools, including monitoring of early warning issues (e.g. LGD, PD Rating and Covenant Monitoring Tools).
     
  • Participation in client meetings as the bank’s main / secondary point of contact dependant on deal.
     
  • Annual Reviews / Loan Applications / Waivers of Credit Facilities, including development of sustainable facility specific strategies according to the bank’s overall policies.
     
  • Monitoring of Market Developments and Trends, analysis of impact on the bank’s facilities, development and implementation of facility-specific measures in critical facilities.
     
  • Continuous updating of the bank’s monitoring systems (e.g. Backshop, PD Ratings, SFS & Cashflows).
     
  • Contribution in credit related projects as required.

Qualifications

  • Education: Economics or Legal Calibre or several years experience of credit/banking
     
  • Experience: Sound knowledge / several years experience in lending business, with focus in real estate financing.
  • Knowledge of systems: Very good IT skills and competent with Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint, basic knowledge of databases
     
  • Languages: Fluent spoken and written English.
     
  • Personal and business skills: Sound knowledge in lending relevant legal, tax and economics. Excellent analytical skills including analysis of corporate borrower’s financials and deal specific cashflows including sensitivities. Experience with handling international clients. High degree of responsibility, ability to work under pressure, ability to convince people and to assert oneself.
     
  • Technical knowledge: Very good analytical and conceptual thinking. Solid understanding of property/real estate, knowledge/experience of complex financial structures and knowledge / experience of risk and return awareness.
